UIDAI Invites Applications for Director Positions on Deputation Basis
UIDAI is seeking qualified and motivated officers to fill four Director positions. The selected candidates will be appointed on a deputation basis under foreign service terms. Below are the key details about the job:
- Number of Vacancies: 4
- Two positions in Delhi
- One position each in Chandigarh and Patna
- Pay Level: Pay Matrix Level-13 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900)
- Mode of Appointment: Deputation (on foreign service term basis)
- Deputation Period: Initially up to five years, with the option for a shorter period depending on the lending organization’s policy, subject to a minimum of three years.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Director position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential Requirements:
- Age: Candidates should be below 56 years as of the closing date for applications.
- Employment:
- Officers from the Central Government holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department.
- Or, officers with at least three years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level-12 of the 7th CPC (₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200) or above.
- Or, officers from State or Union Territory Governments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or Autonomous Organizations holding regular posts in corresponding grades with requisite experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in monitoring and implementing large-scale projects involving multiple ecosystem partners.
- Experience handling matters related to budget management, contract management, coordination, administration, and procurement of goods and services.
- Experience in e-governance and ICT-related projects.
Additional Notes:
- Officers holding analogous posts in the parent organization will be preferred.
- Private sector candidates are not eligible.
- Candidates must have a minimum residual service of three years as of the closing date for the application.
- Only officers who have completed at least five years of government service are eligible to apply.
Terms and Conditions of Deputation
- Duration: The deputation period will generally be five years but may be less, as per the lending organization’s rules, with a minimum period of three years.
- Salary and Allowances: Salary, allowances, joining time, medical benefits, and other terms will be as per the UIDAI (Appointment of Officers and Employees) Regulations, 2020, and other relevant UIDAI regulations.
- Leave: Governed by the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972.
- Accommodation: Officers posted in Delhi may be allotted residential accommodation in the Aadhaar Housing Complex, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi.
- Vehicle Facility: Directors and officers above this level will be provided with a vehicle for commuting.
- Medical Benefits: Eligible for medical benefits as per UIDAI’s Medical Reimbursement Scheme or under the service conditions of the parent organization.

- Cadre Clearance: From the cadre controlling authority.
- Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs)/Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs): Copies of the last five years’ reports, duly attested.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC): From the parent organization.
