RRB Enhances Technician Grade III Vacancies: Big Boost for Railway Aspirants
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) have announced a significant increase in the number of vacancies for Technician Grade III posts under CEN No.02/2024, offering a fantastic opportunity for job seekers aspiring to join the Indian Railways.

Initially, the recruitment for Technician Grade III posts offered 9,144 vacancies across 17 categories. However, following additional demand from Zonal Railways and Production Units, the total number of vacancies has now been enhanced to 14,298, including 22 new categories. Key Changes in Recruitment
- Categories Expanded: The earlier 17 categories have now been increased to 40 categories with the inclusion of new roles. - Fresh Applications Open: With the addition of new categories, fresh eligible candidates can now apply for the newly added roles. This presents a golden opportunity for those who previously did not qualify.
- Modification Window: For existing applicants, a modification window will be available from 17-10-2024 to 21-10-2024, allowing changes to the choice of RRB or preferences for Zonal Railways and the newly added Technician categories.
Application Details
Candidates, both new and existing, can submit their applications between 02-10-2024 (00:01 hrs) and 16-10-2024 (23:59 hrs) via the official RRB websites. A 15-day period has been allotted to ensure that all eligible candidates can apply or modify their applications.

- A separate notification will be issued detailing the procedure for new applications and modifications.
- A modification fee of ₹250 will apply for any changes made to the application.
