Terms and Duration of Appointment
- Deputation: The deputation period will be three years or until RailTel is exempted from the rule of immediate absorption, whichever is earlier.
- Re-Employment: Duration is until the work requirement ends, subject to management’s discretion.
Who Can Apply?
- Service Background: The opportunity is open to S&T Executives from Indian Railways or Railway PSUs.
Eligibility Requirements
- For Manager:
- 4 years of experience in Level-7 (7th CPC) in CDA or IDA scale of Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000.
- Retired/Resigned executives from Level-7 or equivalent in IDA scale with 4 years of experience.
- For Dy. Manager:
- Experience in Level-7 (7th CPC) in CDA or equivalent IDA scale of Rs. 40,000 – 1,40,000.
- Retired/Resigned executives from Level-7 or equivalent in IDA scale.
- For Asst. Manager:
- 4 years of experience in Level-6 (7th CPC) in CDA or IDA scale of Rs. 30,000 – 1,20,000.
- Retired/Resigned executives from Level-6 in CDA or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Overseeing Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities.
- Coordination with various agencies, including Indian Railways.
- Handling various implementation activities related to RailWire and other projects.
- Executing any other tasks assigned from time to time.
Scale of Pay
- Deputation: Parent grade pay plus deputation allowance as per government norms.
- Re-Employment: DPE scales and allowances applicable to the level of selection.
Age Requirements
- Deputation: Age should not exceed 56 years as of the closing date of the receipt of applications.
- Re-Employment: Age should be below 65 years for officers retired/resigned from Railway or Railway PSUs.
