Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria to apply for the position of Dy. SP in NIA:

  1. Officers from Central Government/State Government/Union Territories are eligible if they:
    • Hold an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
    • Have 2 years of service in a post in the Pay Band-2 (₹9300-34800) with Grade Pay of ₹4800 or equivalent.
    • Have 3 years of service in a post in Pay Band-2 (₹9300-34800) with Grade Pay ₹4600 or equivalent.
  2. Educational Qualification:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
    • 3 years of experience in the investigation of criminal cases, intelligence work, or counter-terrorism operations, including imparting training in counter-terrorism.

Deputation and Absorption Terms

  • Officers applying for deputation must not exceed 56 years of age on the closing date of receipt of applications.
  • Deputation period, including any extension, shall not exceed three years.
  • The deputation is subject to approval from the parent department and must be processed through the proper channel.
