Qualifications
As per Rule 3(12)(b) of the Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021, the candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Judge Criteria:
- Must be or have been a Judge of a High Court, OR
- Served as a District Judge or Additional District Judge for a combined period of 10 years.
- Special Experience:
- A person of integrity with not less than 25 years of professional experience in fields such as economics, business, commerce, law, finance, accountancy, public affairs, administration, or any related sector useful to the NCDRC.
- Age Limit:
- Must be at least 50 years of age as of the last date for submission of applications.
Selection Process
The Search-Cum-Selection Committee constituted under the Tribunal Reforms Act, 2021, will scrutinize applications for suitability based on qualifications and experience. The shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interaction, and the final selection will be based on overall evaluation.
Reappointment
Members of the NCDRC are eligible for reappointment following the same procedure as for the original appointment.
