The Ministry of Mines is seeking applications for the positions of Senior Legal Assistant and Junior Legal Assistant on a contract basis, initially for a period of one year, extendable up to three years based on performance. Details are as follows:

Position Overview:

  1. Senior Legal Assistant
    • Vacancies: 02
    • Remuneration: ₹85,000 per month
    • Terms of Reference: As per Annexure-I
  2. Junior Legal Assistant
    • Vacancies: 09
    • Remuneration: ₹65,000 per month
    • Terms of Reference: As per Annexure-I

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from a recognized university or institute, duly recognized by the Bar Council of India.
    • Must be qualified to be registered as an advocate under the Bar Council of India as per the Advocates Act, 1961.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification experience for Junior Legal Assistant.
    • Above 7 years of experience in government departments, PSUs, or High Courts/Supreme Court for Senior Legal Assistant.
  • Skills:
    • Experience in legal matters and handling court matters in government departments.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.

Age Limit:

  • Not more than 45 years as of the closing date of the advertisement.
