Detailed Position Requirements

1. Assistant Registrar (Post Code 1)

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Pay Level 6 or higher, or 3 years in Pay Level 7.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Finance and Accounts, Materials Management, Student Welfare, R&D, etc.
• Desirable: Knowledge of working in institutions like IITs or other CFTIs, good communication skills, and familiarity with computerized environments.
• Age Limit: 42 years.

2. Junior Superintendent (Post Code 2)

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 55% marks.
  • 5 years of clerical or supervisory experience after obtaining a degree.
• Desirable: Experience in finance, administration, hostel management, or similar fields.
• Age Limit: 34 years.

3. Junior Assistant (Post Code 3)

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 55% marks.
• Desirable: Excellent communication skills and proficiency in a computerized work environment.
• Age Limit: 27 years.

4. Technical Officer (CCS) (Post Code 4)

• Essential Qualifications:
  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields with 60% marks.

Mode of Selection

• For Pay Levels 3 and 6:
  • Written Test I (compulsory for all positions).
  • Written Test II (if deemed necessary by the Selection Committee).
  • Final selection is based on performance in both tests, with a weightage system (20-40% for Test I, 60-80% for Test II).
• For Pay Level 10:
  • A written test may be conducted, followed by an interview. Final selection is based solely on the interview performance.

• Exempted Categories: SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates and regular IIT Dharwad employees are exempt from the fee.
