CGHS Nagpur & Raipur Recruiting Retired Doctors on Contract Basis

Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), Nagpur has issued an advertisement inviting retired or retiring doctors for a walk-in interview for contractual appointments. The recruitment is for General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO) in CGHS Raipur and Specialists in CGHS Nagpur. The engagement will be purely temporary, following specific terms and conditions.

Key Details of Recruitment

Age Limit and Eligibility

• Candidates should not exceed 69 years of age on the closing date of application.

Educational Qualification

• For Specialists:
  • Postgraduate (PG) Degree with 3 years’ experience in the relevant field.
  • Alternatively, a PG Diploma with 5 years’ experience is also acceptable.
• For GDMO: A minimum qualification of MBBS degree is required.

Remuneration

• For Retired CHS Doctors:
  • As per the MoH&FW orders, remuneration will be pay minus basic pension.
  • Specialists will receive INR 1,23,500/- for the first year and INR 1,30,000/- for the second year.
• For Retired State Government/PSU Doctors:
  • GDMOs will receive INR 75,000/- per month.
  • Specialists will receive INR 95,000/- for the first year and INR 1,05,000/- for the second year.

Contract Terms and Duration

• The contract will be for one year or until attaining the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier. If a regular incumbent joins, the contract will terminate automatically.

Number of Vacancies

• CGHS Raipur: Two (02) vacancies for GDMOs.
• CGHS Nagpur: One (01) vacancy each for a Medical Specialist and an Ophthalmologist.

Walk-In Interview Details

• Preference will be given to doctors with prior experience in CGHS and computer knowledge.
• The interview date will be communicated to the eligible candidates two days prior via email.

Eligible candidates can apply via email or physically by sending their applications to the Additional Director, CGHS Nagpur. Applications must be accompanied by supporting documents like:

1. Retirement/Superannuation Orders
2. Pension Papers (PPO)
3. Age Proof (10th Certificate/PAN Card)
4. Original Degree Certificates and valid registration

Terms and Conditions

• No Allowances: Selected candidates are not entitled to allowances like DA, residential accommodation, etc.
• Leave: Entitled to 1.5 days of leave for each completed month of service.
• Termination: The agreement can be terminated with 7 days’ notice by either side, with reasons such as failure to fulfill duties or unsatisfactory performance.

Additional Director, CGHS Nagpur, reserves the right to make changes to the number of vacancies or terms without assigning reasons.
