CERT-In Consultant Recruitment 2024: 6 Vacancies for Retired Government Officials
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), a statutory organization under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has announced the engagement of six consultants across various domains. This recruitment drive targets retired Central Government and State Government employees.

CERT-In is seeking to fill six consultant positions in the following areas:
- Consultant Security
- Consultant Building & Maintenance
- Consultant Personnel (2 positions)
- Consultant Legal
- Consultant Stores
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible candidates must have retired from Central or State Government service or from statutory or autonomous bodies. Positions require individuals who previously held posts such as Under Secretary, Deputy Director, Section Officer, Assistant Section Officer, or equivalent.
- Security Consultant: Minimum 3 years in Security Officer roles, retired above Pay Level-06 of 7th CPC.
- Building & Maintenance Consultant: Experience in handling building maintenance or land acquisitions, retired from Pay Level 06 of 7th CPC or higher.
- Personnel Consultant: Involvement in personnel management activities, retired from Pay Level 7/8/10/11 of 7th CPC.
- Legal Consultant: At least 5 years of experience in legal work, particularly under the Information Technology Act.
- Stores Consultant: Experience in managing technical and non-technical stores, retired from Pay Level 6 of 7th CPC or higher.
Scope of Work
- Security: Oversee security procedures, manage daily records, supervise monitoring systems.
- Building & Maintenance: Handle land acquisition, building maintenance, and other infrastructure-related tasks.
- Personnel: Manage creation and restructuring of posts, recruitment, and other personnel-related work.
- Legal: Address legal issues including agreements, RTIs, and non-compliance matters.
- Stores: Manage procurement, stores accounting, and the disposal of unserviceable items.
Terms of Engagement
- Contract Duration: Initial engagement for one year, extendable based on performance and organizational needs.
- Remuneration: Based on the last drawn salary minus the gross pension. A fixed amount for non-pensioners.
- Working Hours: Regular office hours with the possibility of shifts due to the 24×7 nature of CERT-In’s operations.
- Leave Policy: 1.5 days of paid leave per month.
- Age Limit: Maximum age of 63 years at the time of application.
