Superintendent Deputation Promotion

The National Archives of India, under the Ministry of Culture, has announced job opportunity for eligible candidates from State and Central Government departments.ย  The institution is currently preparing a panel to fill five (05) vacancies for the position of Superintendent, Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

The recruitment will be conducted based on the guidelines set out by the Recruitment Rules (dated 02/08/2019 GSR 557(E)). The selection process will be conducted through two channels:

  1. 50% by Promotion: Eligible candidates currently serving within the institution may be promoted to the Superintendent role.
  2. 50% by Deputation: Officers from the Central Government or State Governments, including Union Territory Administrations, are eligible to apply for this role.

Eligibility Criteria

The following detailed eligibility requirements apply:

  1. Deputation Norms: Persons selected for deputation must meet the standard deputation terms as per the guidelines under the Central Government rules. The period of deputation, including a potential short-term contract in an ex-cadre post, will typically not exceed three years.
  2. Age Limit: The maximum age limit for candidates applying for appointment should not exceed 56 years as of the closing date for applications.
  3. Required Documents: Applicants must provide:
    • Confidential Report dossiers or photocopies of APARs for the last five years.
    • Integrity Certificate.
    • Vigilance Clearance.
    • Penalty Statement for the last ten years.
