Subject: Clarification on Rule 10 of the Central Government General Pool Residential Accommodation Rules, 2017 -reg.

Reference is invited to Rule 10(1) of the Central Government General Pool Residential Accommodation Rules, 2017 notified vide G.S.R. 598(E)(copy enclosed). The guidelines /instructions issued vide above referred GPRA Rules, 2017 state that “no application shall be entertained for accommodation within six months of the date of superannuation”. lt may be interpreted from the rule that no application shall be processed and, consequently, allotment of accommodation made within the period of six months prior to date of superannuation.
