Sub: Upper Age limit for selection to the post of J.E./P. Way against 20% LDCE Quota under Civil Engineering Department.
Ref: i) Railway Board letter No. E(NG)I/2023/PM5/3(E-3434435) RBE 92/2023 dated 18.07.2023.
ii) Railway Board letter No. E(NG)I-1999/PM7/17(RBE 85/2010) dated 09.06.2010.
Southern Railway has sought clarification on the upper age limit for selection to the post of JE/P. Way against 20% LDCE Quota under Civil Engineering Dte.
2. The matter has been examined in consultation with the Civil Engineering Directorate and it has been decided that for JE/P. Way against 20% LDCE quota, the upper age limit should be fixed at 47 years (for UR) and accordingly the upper age limit for SC/ST employees shall be fixed at 52 years. Resultantly, the age limit for LDCE to the post of JE/P. Way is brought at par with the age limit for selections for the post of JE/P. Way against the IA quota in the other Civil Engineering streams.
