Holidays to be observed in Central Government Offices during the year 2022: Railway Board

Central Government Holidays for the year 2022 for all Central Government Office in Andhra Pradesh – Closed Holidays (compulsory holidays) and Restricted Holidays decided by CGEWCC, Vijayawada

Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC), Vijayawada – DOPT (Department of Personnel and Training) issues a common holiday list for all Central government Employees throughout India. This Closed holidays and Restricted holidays list is issued in Three Parts

1. 14 Central Government Closed Holidays (compulsory holidays) which decided by DOPT itself every year. These closed holidays of National importance and hence it is followed throughout India for all Central Government Offices.

3. MAHATMA GANDHI’S BIRTHDAY
4. BUDDHA PURNIMA
5. CHRISTMAS DAY
6. DUSSEHRA (VIJAY DASHMI)
7. DIWALI (DEEPAVALI)
8. GOOD FRIDAY
9. GURU NANAK’S BIRTHDAY
10. IDU’L FITR
11. IDU’L ZUHA
12. MAHAVIR JAYANTI
13. MUHARRAM
14. PROPHET MOHAMMAD’S BIRTHDAY (ID-E-MILAD)

2. Three Additional Closed Holidays (compulsory Holidays) out of 12 closed holidays listed by DOPT in the Central Government Holidays List announced by each year. DOPT has issued following Office Memorandum for Central Government Holidays List 2022 in which Para 3.3 provides 12 Closed holidays out of which Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) functioning in each State / State Capital will select 3 additional closing holidays for the Central Government Offices functioning in their state.

4. RAM NAVAMI
5. MAHA SHIVRATRI
6. GANESH CHATURTHI / VINAYAK CHATURTHI
7. MAKAR SANKARANTI
8. RATH YATRA
9. ONAM
10. PONGAL
11. SRI PANCHAMI / BASANT PANCHAMI
12. VISHU/ VAISAKHI / VAISAKHADI / BHAG BIHU / MASHADI UGADI / CHAITRA SUKLADI / CHETI CHAND / GUDI PADAVA / 1ST NAVRATRA / NAORAZ / CHHATH POOJA / KARVA CHAUTH.

3. Two Restricted Holidays can be chosen from the list of Restricted Holidays list decided by Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) functioning in each State / State Capital. This restricted holidays list is decided in such a way that the remaining 9 optional closed holidays list provided by DOPT is included in the said Restricted Holidays list prepared by Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) functioning in each State / State Capital.

Following the above principles, Andhra Pradesh Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) has prepared following Central Government Closed holidays 2022 and Restricted holidays 2022, which are tabulated below.
