Enhanced Dearness Relief to Pensioners wef 1.1.2011

The Department of Pensioner's  Welfare has  decided that the Dearness Relief (DR) payable to Central Government pensioners/ family pensioners shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 45% to 51% w.e.f. 1st January, 2011.

The conditions of eligibility for various categories of pensioners and persons who have been absorbed in PSUs / Autonomous Bodies etc. have also been given in the circular.
