SHORTAGE OF FUNDS FOR SECURITY FORCES
373. DR. KIRODI LAL MEENA:
Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether Government is aware of the fact that some security forces, paramilitary forces and investigative agencies, etc. are facing shortage of funds for their day-to-day activities like ration allowances, etc;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the steps being taken by Government in this regard;
(c) whether Government is considering to provide paramilitary forces leave and transfer benefit to their home States, if so, the details thereof; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?
ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI NITYANAND RAI)
(a): There is no shortage of funds in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs)/Paramilitary Forces and Investigative Agencies for their day to day activities.
(b): Question does not arise.
(c)&(d): Leave and transfer benefits to the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs)/Paramilitary Forces personnel are being regulated in accordance with the extant leave rules and transfer policy of the respective Forces.
