Tamilnadu State DA increased to 80% with effect from January 2013
Tamilnadu State DA with effect from January 2013 – State government Employees and pensioners would get additional Dearness Allowance of 8% – Total DA with effect from January 2013 will be 80%
Tamilnadu State Government employees and pensioners are to get additional DA of 8% with effect from 01.01.2013. This was announced by Chief Minister Ms. Jayalalitha in the state assembly today.
Tamilnadu state Government Employees and pensioners are in receipt of 72% of dearness allowance presently. After the present DA hike these employees would receive a total Dearness allowance of 80% with effect from 1st January 2013.
It was also announced by the Chief Minister in the state assembly that the additional Dearness Allowance would involve additional spending of Rs.1639.93 crores by state exchequer and that around 18 lakhs government employees, Government Teachers, Pensioners and family pensioners would be benefited by this increase in DA by Tamilnadu Government.
