@jyothi,
DA arrears received during sept/Oct 2009 being the da difference for the months of July, aug, sep 2009 need not be accounted seperately, as DA has been calculated at enhanced DA rate (27%) from the month of July 2009 itself. Please go through and offer your comments

As per your software my pay for the month of July-09 comes out as 12600 (after increment)
but my dept has given me 12590. Please clarify me throug my mail.

@Kuchel
It must have been due to rounding. As per CCS (Revised Pay) Rules 2008, the calculation of incremented pay in pay band should be rounded so that the pay fixed in the next multiple of 10. Say, after including the increment if your pay comes to 12592, then the next multiple of 10 is 12600. This is analogy adopted in this software. Give your feedback

excellent creation. It is very useful for our colleagues to use this for calculation of their income tax liability for 2009-10 (A.Y. 2010-11) even including the calculation under Sec-89(1) relief under I.T.Act. Once again I can say it is fabulous.

@ S.Sukumaran
If you choose the “IT exemption for HRA (choose no if H.loan availed and self-occupied) ” option given the software as “yes” and also enter the rent you are paying in the appropriate field, the tool will calculate the amount of exemption you get for HRA. The method of calculating this exemption could be seen in the following page

Sir, I am thankful for the Income Tax calculator provided in the web-site. In our office, the billing section itself prepare the IT. statement of all staff in order to facilitate them to submit the statement in time. So this software is very useful to us. Further, I request you to add the FORM 16 to this software which will reduce the work of bill sections little bit.

The IT calculator is really a commendable job. GConnect has been pioneer in releasing such tools which makes tricky calculations very easy. The calculation for relief under sec 89 (1) has been made very simple. As soon as I received this mail I have been egging my colleagues to subscribe to Gconnect. The preparation ot Form 10 E has been very useful and many of my colleagues have been benefited from this. Keep the good work going.

1. Specal Compensatory allowance given in Himachal
2. Children Education allowance reimbursement

In this there is no provision to add the Special Compensatory allowance exemption as I am getting 1500 where as under rule 2B(B) only rs. 800 is exempted depending upon my posting. Kindly put the provision to add such allowances and exemption accordingly.
Sincerely,

Though your suggestion is justified, for proper print alignment of worksheet we had taken only important salary heads. We suggest you show SCA as other pay (which is has to entered as annual income).

TA in excess of Rs.800 per month is taxable. So, whatever you receive in excess of Rs.800 (including DA on TA) is taxable
