BSNL Broadband offers 20% discount for Govt Employees

In order to boost the acquisition and usage of Broadband among government Employees, the competent authority has approved 20% discount on Broadband Service charges (usage and rental) for Broadband connections provided to Central Government/ State Government/ PSU Employees category.

The scheme is to be launched from 1 December 2008 across BSNL network and is a continuous scheme.

The serving and retired government employees applying for Broadband Connection under this scheme, should furnish an undertaking countersigned by their Drawing and Disbursing Officer regarding their bonafide along with the application.
In case of retired employees, an attested copy of the Pension Pay Order should be submitted along with the application. The application should be marked as “FOR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES SCHEME”.

The scheme is also applicable to existing Broadband customers who are serving/retired government employees subject to their furnishing an undertaking as detailed above. The discount of 20% in Broadband Service charges for the existing customers will also be applicable if they apply,from the month of such application.

    Employer ID card should be sufficient for extending discount ,why undertaking from DDO ? do you expect employer to come into picture for every small things, like this one ? Here subscriber may be beneficial and dont forget BSNL too has benefits with this offer, right now their equipments are underutilised,dont you agree?

    SOLUTION OF INTELLIGENCE FAILURE IN MUMBAI BLAST CASE

    Dear IAS & IPS officers who have some say in decisions for the security of my lovely country,

    1. The main issue is that all intelligence agencies want to protect their turf and they never (repeat) never share their intelligence with other agencies because of various reasons. These reasons can be no mutual confidence, fear of source identified, fear of leaked information etc.

    2. I am saying with my personal experience that when int agencies are not sure, they give vague warning like “ attack likely on vital installations via sea route in a Big city”, etc.. This is not actionable intelligence. It can be interpreted as attack on Mumbai, Cochin, Tvm, Chennai, Vizag, Kolkata etc.. Later these int agencies claim that they gave prior info about these attacks. Actionable intelligence is where source, time, target and other details are also given.

    3. In my opinion, the solution is that all the intelligence agencies must be ordered to share their information at a national level. Weekly combined briefing in south block by representative of all intelligence agencies must be carried out, where they all speak about their info. Defence agencies also collect lot of info concerning civil population. They should be ordered to share only such “ selective “ info.

    4. If any attack/ incident occur, which is not covered in these briefing by the responsible agency, then that particular agency must be blamed and then only heads should roll.

    Please go to the BSNL site for details or ask your PA/clerk/ Defence Forces/NSG for details incase finding it yourself is too difficult, like it is for all us helpless always crying indians.

    We should remove these politicians for giving us so much problems

    About intelligence failure…i agree these agencies must always tell us exactly when and where and how any incident/theft/attack is going to take place. after all they are supposed to know all this. Infact they should know exactly at what time I am going to the toilet to empty my stomach after reading all this nonsense.

    If you stop shouting and start reading the posts you might just find the information right under your nose. But I guess you work in a government office which explains everything.

    Please come to me after 6 days when I will send you to the 6th floor from where you will be sent to the 3rd floor from where you will be sent back to me and I will ask you to return after 4.30 PM and then we will see if the concerned clerk( babu)
    is in his/her seat or is still finishing his/her lunch….

    AS no regular form is prescribed it would be sufficient to give an application with necessary details oo employment duly countersigned by the employer. I feel that for Pensioners a copy of PPO would be sufficient which may be submitted along with the application for inclusion in the scheme in white paper, as I have done while applying in Trivandrum Telecom District

    Based on the above scheme, I have applied for the same to get benefit out of it on behalf of my mother, who is a retired teacher, where our house has broad band connection too in her name. We were told by local exchage that since the address in the pension book differs from the current address, it was not possible to provide this facility. In the pension book, the address was her native town address but now she is living alongwith son, which is also nearby town of the same taluk office, same treasury office and same telephone circle ( same STD code ). If this is a suitation, why don’t bsnl can consider this 20% discount to her?.
