Increment benefits for Group ‘B’ Officers of CBEC too

We had discussed in our article that  Group B Officers of CBEC, Posts and Section Officers in Ministry of Finance are also to be granted increment when they are non-functionally upgraded to grade pay of  consequent on issue of orders for grant of increment on Non functional upgradation to ITOs by Income Tax Department.  But CBEC has acted fast simulatenously and has decided to grant increment during non-functional upgradation of Superintendents and Appraisers.

    Anyone can file a case in CAT against the clarification issued granting Rs.5400/- grade pay to some of the Group B Officers i.e. non functional upgradation and denying ACP Inspectors, Group B Officers who were in the same old pay scale with their counterpart getting Rs.5400/- grade pay. This is a clear cut discrimination between Group B Officers who were earlier in the same pay scale. This violates Article 14 & 16 of Constitution of India.

    Dear Sir,
    We shall be greateful if any one or your website can give an article that if even non gazetted officers with grade pay of Rs 4800/- are entitled for non functional upgradation to grade pay of Rs 5400/- after 04 years.

    Sir, Similar instaces are  there in the ministry of I&B,Doordarshan &  All India /radio where some gr.B officials are granted 4600/- grade pay…where there  is no  non-functional diferentiation..kindly  clarify ..correct  interpretation of that MoF order granting 4600/- grade pay…

    All Group B Gazetted officers should be viewed at par by the govt as everyone serves at the interest of public whether earning revenue or training who gives output a skilled man power to the nation so officers in ministry of labour and employment are also entitled to have the same upgradation ,hence govt should view in this matter seriously
